Johnny Manziel looks good enough for NFL return, says former Browns WR
Johnny Manziel missed all of last season for a number of reasons, but the 24-year-old quarterback has been prepping himself for a return to the NFL.
The former Browns QB has said himself he wants to make a return, and now others are praising him as well. The latest is former Browns teammate Travis Benjamin, who said on NFL Network Thursday he’s met with Manziel this offseason.
“I saw Johnny about a month ago through this PT guy we go to in San Diego and he’s looking good. He says he’s ready to come back and hopefully he’ll get a shot at a team and he’ll go in, continue to humble himself and play smart and play good.
Clowney was named to his first Pro Bowl after recording 52 tackles, 40 of them solo stops, with six sacks, 16 tackles for losses, 17 quarterback hits, and a forced fumble. His position coach believes it was just the first of many Pro Bowls for Clowney and that he can some day wind up in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
“I told him he can be a Hall of Famer,” Texans defensive line coach Anthony Weaver told the Houston Chronicle Friday. “Now, there’s a number of things that have to happen.
